Family fun creative weekends for you and yours!

Family togetherness. Ever wondered what it would be like to spend the weekend painting, making a craft item (Christmas presents?) with the rest of your family? Fun creative weekends are a Giverny forte.

The whole clan is introduced to various creative arts and craft activities from which they can choose to do for the weekend. Everyone can all do the same thing or each member something totally different. Activities to choose from range from oil painting, watercolours or acrylic, drawing in charcoal, ink or pencil or trying pastels, printing monoprints or screen print T-shirts or tablecloths, Christmas cards model with clay or carve wood or plaster of Paris, wirework, mosaics or decoupage.

Should there be anything specific that the group wishes to learn, this can be done after prior arrangement. We have had teenagers coming with their families to work on their matric art portfolios and making use of the opportunity of a one-on-one discussion with Hermine aided by her vast array of art books.

The matrics receive a new perspective and insight on their work, which often lifts the end quality of their portfolio - and their marks.

How one family felt about their weekend at Giverny

After their visit in November 2003, the Whitings of Drummond wrote the following: "The weekend was incredibly special because we were able to learn alongside our children. Just wonderful! Thank you" Of course if you would rather leave the rest of the family back home and attend one of our weekend courses or Our regular weekly courses
